Terms and conditions of entry 

  1. By participating in this competition, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the competition judging panel. All decisions on selecting the winner of the competition made by the judging panel are final.
  2. The judging panel reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the competition, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means, including the use of generative AI.
  3. The judging panel reserves the right to reject entries with objectionable content.
  4. The judging panel reserves the right not to award prizes should the quality of submissions not warrant.
  5. By submitting an entry, the entrants thereby grant the University of Southern Queensland School of Humanities and Communication the right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted work or other information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose. In addition to other things, the rights granted to the University of Southern Queensland School of Humanities and Communication includes, but is not limited to, the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and to otherwise alter or make use of the submitted work.
  6. By submitting an entry, entrants thereby represent and warrant that the submitted work or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party, and the entrants the right to grant any and all rights and licenses, including but not limited to, all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
  7. There is no limit to the number of entries a student can submit, however depending on submissions received each year, the judging panel may only approve a selection of submissions to be published for promotional purposes.
  8. Prizes are subject to change depending on both the number and quality of submissions received.
  9. By submitting an entry, you give permission for the University of Southern Queensland School of Humanities and Communication to contact you regarding the UniSQ Creative Competition, upcoming events and opportunities relevant to you, as well as our course offerings.
